DESCRIPTION:Ventures has launched Futuro\, a professional back office and training program to scale up worker owned cooperatives in the Salinas Valley.  A leading focus of Futuro is to provide income and wealth building for working-class Latin families\, with a focus on women and immigrant workers. As the program matures\, Ventures intends to transition ownership of Futuro to the community. \nMaria Cardenas is the Executive Director of Ventures\, a Northern California non profit that  builds community wealth through a variety of programs.  Maria will join us on Thursday\, May 8 at 11am to share some of the successes and struggles of launching a multiple Coop based Eco-system. \nAs will most of our learning events\, this is a Q&A style event\, where you can inquire about some of the challenges as you work to launch more Coops in your community. \nJoin us – Thursday May 8 at 11am by signing up HERE \n  \n
