SUMMARY:Legislative Wrap Up for 2026
DESCRIPTION:We tracked a lot of California State Legislation this year and pushed for some Wellbeing Economy aligned bills. \nHow did we do? What did our legislature pass and what did they kill? \nCome join us for a review and to help us plan the legislative priorities that fit in with a Wellbeing Economy. \nWe welcome beginners and experts for this community exchange. \nSign up HERE

SUMMARY:Discussion on 2027 Strategies
DESCRIPTION:2026 has been wild and it feels that the world is changing rapidly. \nFortunately\, the concepts behind a Wellbeing Economy seem to be gaining traction. Our team is deep in thought about how our strategy needs to evolve to match the current conditions. \nWould you like to join us for a brainstorm and community share? \nWe will be discussing \n\nWhat worked well in 2026?\nWhat are you thinking about doing differently in 2027?\nWhat would you like to see WEAll California do in 2027?\nWhat is missing from current plans?\n\nThis is a community conversation to share ideas and get to know people in the movement you may not know yet. We won’t be working towards consensus or a collective strategy at this meeting. It is a welcoming conversation to build rapport and connections between organizations. \nFacilitated by David Green. \nHope to see you there. We will not be recording. \nSign up HERE

SUMMARY:Leveraging Data Centers
DESCRIPTION:Have you heard of Naomi Klein’s book Shock Doctrine? In it\, she exposes a strategy that large corporations use that she named “Disaster Capitalism”. Naomi’s reporting is that corporations create strategies to leverage large natural or financial disasters. They have plans ready for the next Hurricane Katrina\, LA Fires or 9/11. It’s a way to buy up resources cheaply or use the emotional charge to pass legislation that may pass in a “non emergency” setting. \nUsing that logic\, could WE also create strategies on how to leverage future emergencies to pass Wellbeing Economy oriented policies? Could we create a game plan to acquire land? \nAs a thought experiment\, we are hosting a community discussion about Data Centers. Given the strong reaction to Data Centers\, how might we leverage a situation like this to get additional Wellbeing Economy legislation passed? What would those policies be? \nLike most of our discussions\, this will not be recorded and we are not here to give you answers\, but to ask questions that generate intriguing discussion. \nCome meet other members of the WEAll CA community and let us tap into your data (brain data\, that is!) \nFacilitated by David Green \nSign up HERE
