Green Social Housing

The California Green New Deal Coalition (CA GND) is a strategic alliance of environmental justice, community, labor, racial justice, and climate groups from across California, led by grassroots and frontline communities. CA GND demands a better future for California that centers the needs of neighborhoods, workers and families on the frontlines of the climate crisis and radically reimagines what’s possible for our communities.

The California Green New Deal Coalition has a priority campaign fighting for green social housing to address the affordable housing crisis, create healthy homes, and to take land and housing out of the hands of for-profit corporations and into the hands of communities.

Zach Lou, the director of CA GND, will join us to share their vision for green social housing, and discuss the current politics of housing and climate in California.
