Vermont Prosperity Project

Our new series will spotlight networks that are working to create Wellbeing Economies in their states.

Each session in this webinar series will spotlight one state network as they share their vision for progress, highlight the economic transformations they are working toward, and the key actors involved in driving change.

This is an opportunity for participants to learn directly from those on the ground, hearing about strategies, successes, and lessons learned. The conversations will not only explore the “what” of each network’s work, but also the “how” behind building an economy designed to serve people and the planet.

At this gathering, we will hear from Jessica Savage and Ellen Kahler from the Vermont Prosperity Project.

The Vermont Prosperity Project is a collaborative, emergent initiative that works to seed definitions of prosperity and progress rooted in social and ecological wellbeing by asking the question: what makes for a good life?  Our Steering Wheel Team facilitates creative conversations across Vermont about our economy and the beliefs, values, and aspirations that shape and reshape it. Our efforts are aimed at demystifying and expanding how we think about the economy, exploring strategies within reach to transform our economy, and learning how Vermonters are practicing those strategies now.

Jessica Savage is the Director of Programs and Strategic Initiatives at the Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD) 

Ellen Kahler is the Executive Director of the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF).
