Community Assemblies – How to engage community in democratic participation that is fun, builds connections and produces results
August 13 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT
One of the primary goals of a Wellbeing Economy is to get people involved in their local democracies in a way that feels life giving, productive and satisfying. Community gatherings and assemblies are shown to accomplish this, and also create positive connectivity among stakeholders and produce a sense of inner wellbeing.
On Wed, Aug 13 at 11am Pacific, Louis Alloro of Wellbeing Lab, Powered by Champions of Change will present on the strengths-based and future-focused work he has been leading all over the country to convene communities on topics that matter. He’ll explain how he worked with the City of Palmdale to convene 200 professionals to set a vision and plan for how to better prevent mental illness, substance abuse, crime, violence and financial ruin in the Antelope Valley.
Louis incorporates a variety of techniques designed to produce connection, safety and wellbeing.
As always, there will be plenty of time for Q&A so that you can learn what this might look like in your community or workplace.
